Construction of a new engineered overhead steel barrier along Stanley Park Drive, including excavation, mini-pile installation, concrete footings, backfill, and full structural steel installation. The project required coordination with Park Board staff, archaeologists, and Host Nations due to the sensitive environmental and cultural setting. Traffic and pedestrian safety were prioritized throughout the project, as Stanley Park Drive is a high-volume vehicle corridor with limited opportunities for full closures. To avoid disruptions to park operations and visitor access, nightwork was implemented. Safety was effectively managed using hoarding, Traffic Control Persons (TCPs), Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), and updated traffic plans, alongside clearly marked detour signage. Weekly coordination with the Project Manager and traffic department ensured timely updates and responsive adjustments to road-use requirements.
